Mission Statement

It is our mission to prepare the locksmith and aspiring locksmith for actual work in the field, by teaching a curriculum of practical education that is designed to be technically progressive. We will not develop or teach any classes that will simply fill credit hours, promote individual manufacturers or distributers. The locksmith will be able to take this education from the classroom and immediately be able to apply what he has learned, and thereby increase productivity, profitability, and customer service.

Text Box: Jim Wiedman, CML is a third generation locksmith and is very knowledgeable in his trade. He has obtained the highest level of nationally recognized certification, Certified Master Locksmith (CML). Jim has taught several classes over the years for the local associations, including Master Keying and Small Format Interchangeable Core (SFIC). He has also served as President of both the Tennessee Organization Of Locksmiths (TOOL), and the Middle Tennessee Locksmith Association (MTLA). He recognized a need of licensed locksmiths and aspiring locksmiths to not only attain the hours of education required by the state, but a need for education that would be truly useful in the field. His desire is to provide serious education that the locksmith can use to help raise their knowledge base and level of professionalism.
Text Box: Tom Gillingham, CML, CPS, CIL is an extremely well educated locksmith. He has attained not only the highest level of nationally recognized certification, Certified Master Locksmith (CML), but also the designation of Certified Professional Safe Tech. (CPS). Tom has taught several classes for the local associations and has served as President of both the Tennessee Organization Of Locksmiths (TOOL), and the Middle Tennessee Locksmith Association (MTLA). He has also served three terms as Southeast Director of the Associated Locksmiths Of America (ALOA). Other designations that Tom holds include Certified Institutional Locksmith (CIL), Certified Alarm Technician, and Certified Access Control Technician (NFBAA). Text Box: Chris Cyree, CPL is an excellent locksmith and all around great guy. He has obtained the second highest level of nationally recognized certification, Certified Professional Locksmith (CPL), and is currently working hard to get his CML. Chris has served as President of both the Tennessee Organization Of Locksmiths (TOOL), and the Middle Tennessee Locksmith Association (MTLA). He has a great personality and a sharp wit! The locksmith that takes one of Chris’s classes will not only obtain a great deal of knowledge, but will have fun doing it.
Text Box: The one single word that you will associate with Bill Braxton is “WISDOM”! Bill has been a locksmith for over 24 years and has taught and counseled many of us through the years. There are many of us that can truly say “I don’t know where I would be if it weren’t for Bill”. Bill has served on many different board positions for both the Tennessee Organization Of Locksmiths (TOOL), and the Middle Tennessee Locksmith Association (MTLA), and has always been the voice of reason and common sense. He has taught many classes for the associations and has spent many hours of one on one instruction with anyone who was willing to learn. There is a famous Bill Braxton saying that goes “there are many good locksmiths, but very few business men”. Bill will teach you not only some great technical knowledge that you can use in the field, but will teach you how to take that knowledge and be profitable using it.
