Until July, 2008 there was no regulation of locksmiths in the state of Tennessee. As of July, 2008 the state of Tennessee has implemented the Tennessee locksmith license law under the department of Commerce and Insurance, regulatory boards. Because of no regulation up to this point and due to a nation wide problem with scammers and those that have chosen to ignore the new law and provide locksmith services without being licensed, the general public has found themselves in a position of not knowing if the locksmith they have called is legitimate, trained, or qualified in any way.
As a licensed professional locksmith, you want to provide all of your clients and potential clients with the same level of personal customer service. Unfortunately, there is just no realistic way to properly service every potential new customer that might call. When this situation arises, the ideal solution is to refer this potential client to someone that is either closer or that can fit them into their schedule. The problem is referring them to someone that is a truly qualified, licensed professional. This was the sole purpose for the formation of the TJC group. Since its formation it has become not only a referral service between highly trained, professional locksmith companies, but a think tank of professionals willing to share thoughts and ideas to better themselves, their businesses and be more beneficial to the customers they serve.
The TJC Group was formed as a very unique collaboration of professional locksmith companies in Middle Tennessee. Cream always rises to the top and that’s exactly what happened in this case. TJC is currently comprised of three different professional locksmith companies that have strove for excellence in locksmithing. The companies included in this group are CompuKey Locksmith, Mid-State Lock and Key, and Tullahoma Lock and Security. All three owner/locksmiths have participated in the national associations, Associated Locksmiths Of America (ALOA), proficiency rating program (PRP). Two of these locksmiths have earned the highest level of proficiency, Certified Master Locksmith (CML) and the other has earned the second highest level of proficiency, Certified Professional Locksmith (CPL) and is working hard toward obtaining his CML.
These three company owners have been friends for over 10 years and have formed very tight bonds and endeavor to be the best in their field of expertise. They do much to promote each other’s businesses throughout Middle Tennessee and all three are state approved instructors for the Mid-State Locksmith Training Facility. With this unique relationship, everyone wins! Each business owner wins by the referring of potential new clients and the clients win because they are assured that they are getting a highly qualified, professional, state licensed locksmith. Below are listed the three owner/locksmiths and a brief bio for each. Please take the time to learn a little bit about each one.
